Mumbai Indians vs Trinidad and Tobago 2nd semifinal preview

The second semi final of the Champions League T20 2013, Mumbai Indians are playing against Trinidad and Tobago at Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium, Delhi.

The performance of Mumbai Indians was very poor through out the tournament as top order is failing consistently except for few matches. Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik contributed nothing, however inform Dwayne Smith and Rohith Sharma lead Mumbai to enter into the semi's. Both players are not only scoring runs but their skill in stealing quick runs made Mumbai Indians to reserve a spot in the tournament.

Kieron Pollard had three good innings, but none of those innings reminded his past identity as a hard hitter. It is pretty much interesting to see him bat in this game against his fellow guys. This game is a big opportunity for him to show his presence as he know Trinidad bowlers than anyone in his team.

On the bowling side, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Rishi Dhawan are covering up in the absence of Lasith Malinga. The main key bowlers for MI is ofcourse Harabhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha who threatened opposition batsman and caused difficulties through out the tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago are well settled with their bowling. They have match winning bowlers who could even defend a small target. Many critics came from all sides that batting is a big weakness for Trinidads, but they shocked everyone in the last game by defeating CSK who were favorites in the tournament.

Batting is looking pretty strong with the presence of Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewi. 21 year old Evin impressed everyone with his stroke play and the unique ability to score boundaries. Another batsman for T&T is Darren Bravo who is well capable of scoring big runs in the slog overs. The left hander reminds of the legendary Brain Lara with his style and manners. A lot from him is expected in this game.

Trinidad and Tobago bowlers are the nightmares for the opposition players as Sunil Narine and Badree bowling superbly in the whole tournament. No batsman in this tournament or in any tournament likes to take over Sunil Narine! While focus is on the spinners not to forget the world class pace bowlers Ravi Rampaul and Rayad Emrit. As Delhi pitch surely help pace bowlers, no doubt these guys will grab what they can get from this pitch.

The winner of this match will play against Rajasthan Royals on October 6 and loser will pack their kit and head towards home.
