Momentum Cup - Titans vs Cape Cobras match preview
The domestic cricket season springs into life this weekend as Friday sees the start of the Momentum One Day Cup. First up we have a clash between two of the more fancied sides as the Titans host the Cobras at Centurion.
With this being the first match of the domestic one day tournament, lets begin the predictions for Momentum Cup.
The Titans return from Champions League T20 in India where they failed to make Semi finals even though they were pretty much stronger compared to other sides. Titans may feel the absence of AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis and Morne Morkel who are pillars of Titans. However, there are many other players for Titans who are considered as match winners.
The Cobras shared this trophy in the last season where final match was abondened due to rain. As a result they are on hat-trick! But in this season Cobra may feel a bit low as the key players Smith Amla, Kleinveldt, Petersen, Steyn, Philander, Kallis and Duminy might go to the test series against Pakistan which starts on 30th October.
Although a whole bunch of players are missing for Cape Cobras there are many other talented players for them to keep the ball rolling. However, comparing to Titans where Davids, Behardien, Rudolph, de Lange, Albie Morkel and van der Merwe in the line up Titans are far better team than Cape Cobras.
