England cricket team represents England national team and Wales. England were considered as the founder of the game of cricket. They played their first cricket test against Australia in 1877 at Melbourne, Australia.England have played 937 test matches in which they have won 335. They are also finished as runner ups in 1979, 1987, and 1982 world cups.

The England team are the current holders of the Ashes. As of 23 July 2013, the team is ranked third in the ICC Test rankings, third in the ODI rankings and fifth in T20 Internationals[4] and the Twenty20 world rankings.

Currently England are ranked 3rd in Test cricket and ODI, 5th in T20 cricket.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the governing body of England cricket and English cricket team.The ECB is also responsible for generation of income from the sales of cricket, sponsorship and broadcast rights.
