By on 14:22

Indian Captain Mahender Sing Dhoni's unbeaten 139 in the last match was the third highest unbeaten score by 6th batsman in One day Internationals format.

Kapil Dev's unbeaten 175 in the World Cup 1983 against Zimbabwe was the highest Individual score by any batsman batting at 6 in the ODI's.

Dhoni's 139 was the highest individual score at Mohali. This was also the first hundred by any Indian batsmen at this ground. The previous highest score at this venue was 99 by little master Sachin Tendulkar against Pakistan in 2007.

Dhoni's century also lead him to cross 5000 runs as captain after Mohammad Azharuddin and Sourav Ganguly. But Dhoni was quickest of all crossing 5000 in his 127th innings, while Sourav Ganguly took 136 innings and Azharuddin 151. Overall, the innings was also remarkable as Dhoni has the spotlight for everything in the world of cricket.
